I tried to explain the story of Nate and I, and how we ended up together earlier this week, and realized that its a complicated story to tell. Instead of a complicated story here, we will go with the simple version. We met the summer of 2005, after being set up by friends. I don't think that I have ever been as "fly by the seat of my pants" as I was once I met Nate. Our relationship was complicated by the fact that while he worked in lived in MA, I would shortly be going back to school in NH. If you ask my husband, he will play down the next part of this story- but to a 21 year old girl, this was big stuff. Nate drove to see me every day. It was an hour there, and an hour back home again. I don't know how he got much sleep. He probably didn't. But he proved himself to me.
By October, I shocked my parents by asking if I could move in with him (asking may be a loose term) and by the end of the month, we found our first place together.
In December, realizing that we wanted to be together forever, we discussed "starting a family."
February was a big month. We found out we were expecting Arianna, got engaged, and I feel like our life has taken flight from there.
I know that my story may be shocking to some. We were together for 6 months when we decided to have a family together? We got pregnant before we were engaged (by only a few days!). We were not married?
I will be honest with you. None of these things seemed important to me. I wanted to know that Nate wanted to be with me for the rest of my life. And I did.

Don't worry! We did finally get married, in 2009. With the help our family and friends, we put together the whole thing in just a few months!

Shortly after taking the step to get married, we decided that maybe we would add another baby to our family. We were surprised at how quickly this became a reality!

I guess that this is the simple story of our family so far. We have moved several times, changed jobs, changed cars. But the thing that does not change is the fact that we love each other, and we love our little girls.

So welcome to our family. We don't have all of the answers, and we are still a work in progress. I wont pretend that our relationship is always easy, or that juggling two kids and a full time job is a walk in the park. I would rather be real with you, so you can be real with me/
