I feel like an introduction post is maybe the best place to start. I have built tabs, so you can learn a little more about my family, but what about me?
My name is Mandy. I'm 27 years old, and I live in MA. Part of living in MA means that I have strong opinions on sports teams- I believe that Boston born people have Red Sox in their blood, Patriots on their mind, Celtics in their dreams and Bruins.... well, that one is for my husband. I never really understood the draw to hockey anyways. But if you ask, I'm a Bruins fan as well.
My husband Nate and I have been married for about 2.5 years now, but have been together for 6 years this August. Together we have two beautiful little girls- Arianna and Alaynna. I cant take credit for naming them though, as my husband was born with a strange gift of coming up with the perfect girls names. No, I don't know if we are having anymore kids. Yes, of course I would love to "give my husband" a little boy someday. SOMEDAY. We will get there. We will see.
I work as a sales rep for a company that sells books to schools. I'm an inside rep, so I spend lots of time on the phone, which suits me well. You can ask Nate- I like to talk a lot. I tell him that he is lucky that I have this job, because otherwise I would talk that much more.
We rent our home right now, but want to buy a place someday. We have dreams of moving far away from here, but I don't know as that we ever will.
Both of my parents are still around, and they run a women's consignment shop. I have one sister, and she is currently pregnant with her first baby- a BOY! We cant wait until he is born. She is an amazing friend, which is strange to say. We spent the first 23 years of her life fighting, and have now managed to find common ground, and I am so glad to say that she is my friend.
I like to tell funny stories about my children. I keep most of my relationship with my husband private. I like to share my experiences. I am blessed to have a group of women who are my strength. We have a strange story, meeting online in a pregnancy chat room. But after two years of posts sharing everything, phone calls and text messages, I am proud to say that I cant imagine a better group of women to be friends with, and I cant imagine getting more support anywhere.
I have a few close friends here. I don't see them as much as I would like to. Many of my friends are spread across the country, and I look forward to seeing them every time I manage too.
I'm working out what my relationship with God is. I never thought much about a relationship with God until about two years ago. The friendships that I have built have showed me a path to understand and acceptance that I didn't know existed. I'm not sure where I am now. I believe that there is a God. I believe that he determines my path, and that he watches over me. I also have opposite views on some things in the bible. My path is still forming. I'm sure that part of this blog will be me getting there.
I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you. And anyone else who wanders along.
